Earlier this week, I reported on my news section about the rumors that Mario kart 9 is coming this year. If you read my report which you should had, I believe that the rumors are bull. Why bring the game out this year if Mario kart 8 deluxe is still selling like gang busters? Most likely Nintendo is developing the game now. Part 9 doesn’t really need a new twist. Yet, I believe the series needs some improvements to make it better in the future. These are my ideas for improvements.
Casual or advance option
Everything I am putting down is for more advance players but of everyone else, they can keep the game casual.
Change the weather and time of day
The player can let the game change the weather and day or the player can do it themselves. For the weather, they can it snow, rain, hail, dust storm, wind, or heat. They can also control how must it snow, rain, and so on. The effect of the weather can make the track more slippery and can impair the vision of the player. They can also change the time of day from day, evening, and night.
No more classic courses
I am sick of racing classic tracks from other games in Mario kart 8. All the tracks in 9 must be all new including DLC courses.
Courses from other Nintendo games.
Yes we did a Hyrule track and a Splatoon battle arena from 8 but we need more courses from other Nintendo games. For example, planet ZDR from Metroid dread. The player race on the course while being chase down by an E.M.M.I. Or maybe a course set on Donkey kong island, a planet or in space from Star fox, or one of the kingdoms of fire emblem. Best of all a track from Nintendo’s other racing franchise that Nintendo seem to forget that exist, F zero.
DLC tracks and racers
I still can’t understand why Nintendo doesn’t add any DLC for kart 8. They should have DLC for 9. For the tracks, they need to be a combination of all new, classic, and track from other Nintendo games. For the racers, they need to come from other Nintendo games like Kirby. Heck get some characters from other third party games.

You can change your kart body, rims, fins, and outfits
Skill tree
A skill tree is needed. With each win, what place you end up in after a race, and the number of coins you collect, you can increase the improvement of steering, drifting, durability of the kart and tires, speed boost and so on.
Blus shell shield
The last and the most needed improvement is a blue shell shield. The blue shell is the most annoying part about Mario kart. When you are about to win, a blue shell hit you and ruined your chance of victory. The blue shell shield can solve that issue. When a blue shell is after you, activate the shield just before the shell hit you.
