Sorry I didn’t do this last month. It slips my mind. Well better late than never. Now I will look back at my predictions for 2025. I did a whopping 25 for 2025 predictions. Yeah, I when a little overboard. Well take a seat and relax. This with be a long one.
1 The steam deck 2 will arrive.
I was wrong. With the steam machine coming this year and the ram shortage, the steam deck 2 will not come for a long while.
2 The big 3 will buy more studios
Microsoft and Sony didn’t but Nintendo is buying Bandai Namco studios Singapore. Nintendo is part of the big three. Good! Nintendo needs to buy more studios. This is a win for me.
3 More studios will closed down
Avalanche Studios, Freejam, Ubisoft Leamington, Monolith Productions, the Initiative, and more. 17 overall bit the big one. Sadly, I was correct. This needs to end.
4 Hell blade 2 coming to the PS5

6 Chrono trigger returns
It didn’t. I will never do this prediction again. I give up on this one.
7 Metroid prime 2 and 3 will be on the switch
It didn’t happen. Why Nintendo? With prime 4 being a mess, what the hell are you doing with the beloved IP?
8 Star fox, Kid Icarus, or F Zero will return
I was wrong. Like with Chrono trigger, I will never make this prediction again
9 Naughty dog will show off their new game
Yes! Intergalactic the heretic prophet was shown at the 2024 game awards
10 Avowed will be Microsoft’s Concord
This is a hard one to judged, so I went by the sales. With report indicating it underperformed Microsoft’s expectations, low steam sales, and low direct sales on game pass (google), the game did seem to flop. It wasn’t nowhere near Concord, but it was a big failure. I am going to this this as a win.
11 Fairgames will fail
The game didn’t come out last year. So I can’t judge it. This one will not count.
12 New Resident evil game
Resident evil requiem was announced last year. This is a victory.
13 New Mega man
Mega man dual override was announced at the game awards last year. Too bad it won’t come out till 2027. Another victory
14 Assassin creed shadows will fail
The game had huge issues before the launch. The estimated sales of between 2.4 to 4.3 million copies and a massive budget which is reportedly between $350 to $400 million, the game underperformed big time (google). It is one of the lowest selling games in the series. No wonder why Ubisoft is in deep dog s***. A win of me.
15 Something will happen to Ubisoft
A segway to the next prediction, none of the things I had listed didn’t happened, but things did happen. They had financial and corporate changes, cancelled six games, and a 1.16-billion-dollar (Europe money) investment from TenCent. Bad events happened. This is a win.
16 GTA VI will cost $100 for the standard edition
We all know the game got delayed to Nov 19. Don’t be shocked if the game is delayed again. This one will not count.
17 3D Mario will be a launch title for the switch 2
I should had stuck with my guts and went with Mario Kart. A bad lost.
18 No switch price drop for the switch
I was right. In fact, the price went up the original and the OLED models. Once again don’t be shocked if the price of the switch and switch 2 goes up. Thanks a lot, to all the people making those dumb AI generated videos. This is mostly your fault.
19 Nintendo vs Pocket Pals lawsuit case verdict
The case is still going on, so again this doesn’t count.
20 Sony will try to sue the makers of Light of Motiram
Yes, Sony is suing Tencent who are the makers of Light of Motiram
21 Zelda remake or remastered
Sadly no, maybe this will be the year.
22 The Legend of Zelda movie news
We did get the actors who will play Link and Zelda and official images. This is another victory
23 Crazy taxi will be the first Sega IP to return
Nope it was the new shinobi game. Hopefully Crazy taxi will come out this year. I really want to play this game.

Indiana Jones, South of Midnight, Fallout 4 was announced. I was correct.
25 Switch 2 will cost $399.99
This was my biggest prediction from last year and I was off by at least $50.
So how I did? From the 25, 3 will not count. I have 9 wrong and 13 right. I think that this is the first time I have a winning percentage doing one of these things. I am so proud of myself.
