So we had Sony’s latest state of play a few days ago. I decided to do a first for my blog. It is a two for one. I will do my predictions recap first, then I will talk about what was the highlights from me were. First is the predictions. I wanted to save time there because of all of my guesses, I only got two right. Which was Marvel Tokon and something God of war. Now to the meat of this blog, my highlights.
Capcom trailers
My first highlights are the new trailers from the upcoming Capcom games. Pragmata and RE9. The latest Pragmata trailer was amazing. Like enjoyed the new RE9 trailer better. The last part when Leon returns to the Racoon city police department was great. I think that theze two games will be awesome.
Kain returns
We got a double dose of Kain. First is Legacy of Kain: defiance remastered. Second is Legacy of Kain: Ascendance. Ascendance is a 2D platformer that comes out on March 31st. I never played a Kain game before, so I am ready to sink my teeth into them.
Crimson Moon
It is an upcoming hack and slash game. I love hack and slash game. This reminds me of the darksiders games.
Project Windless
It is another hack and slasher. What sold me is that the main character is a humanoid rooster.
Snake is back
The metal gear solid: Master collection vol 2 is coming this August. The games are sons of the patriots 4 and peace walker. I never played peace walker before. I am pumped that metal gear solid 4 is returning. This is one of my all time favorite PS3 games. I am ready to to as snake in his final mission once again. As a bonus, Konami is updating the first master collection
Back in time
Next is the classic arcade shooter time crisis. It is in PS plus right now
John Wick
Yes, my friends we are getting a game based on the hit movie series.
Marvel Tokon
Finally we got new gameplay. We are getting three new fighter that are from the X men universe. They are Wolverine, Danger, and Magik. We found out that they will be only 20 fighters on the base roster. That makes me tilt my head. 20 fighters at the start are strange for a 4v4 fighting game. I am getting concern about this game. I have to wait and see what else they will show.
He is back
We are getting to the heavy hitters now! The first three games are returning in the God of war trilogy. Even the first voice actor of Kratos TC Carson is back. It will not come out any time soon. I’m worry that they will censor the games. That’s right, we might not get to see naked hooters. We have to wait to see if they do it. If they do, I will not buy it. For more God of war goodness, God of war: sons of Sparta was announced. It is a platformer. It looks cheap to me.
Killing vampires once again
At long last, Castlevania is back with Castlevania: Belmont’s curse. Taking place 23 years after Castlevania III in 1499 Paris. Evil is engulfing the city. Now a new Belmont descendant must use the whip and take down the bad guys. I must be honest; I am not a fan of the art style. I guess they try to model the art style like the cartoon show. The gameplay reminds me of hollow knight. The game comes out this year for PS5, Xbox, and switch one.
Last round fight
The critical divided fighting game Dead or Alive 6 is back with updates. Like enhanced graphics and the five DLC fighters added. The game arrives on June 25. The last and best highlight is a quick trailer for the new Dead or Alive game. It shows a pair of the best video game breasts I have ever seen. I guess those lovely boobs are Kasumi’s.
Overall this was one of the best state of plays we have seen in a long while. I gave it an A minus.
