Full disclosure I have not played either Scarlett or violet. Also it’s not the switch itself is the issue. Will a stronger switch fix some of the issues? Well yes and no. A stronger switch would definite fix some of the performance problems. On the flip side a game is only as good as the developers. When the new pokemon game is on the new and if it is having technical problems, will people blame the new hardware? Hopefully patches will come soon. Yet the one that needs a major patch the most is game freak themselves.
With these two and more recent pokemon games, it is oblivious that things need to change. How can this be fixed. The easiest answers are that the games needed to delay and don’t bring release a game every year. Knowing the pokemon company, that’s not going to happen. The games are tie to the toys, trading cards, clothes, and so on. They are just too greedy. So what else can be done? The other is the more manpower. Before I get to the main point, they can get other studios like monolith or Bandai Namco too help.
Game freak have a work force that is about 170 workers. That is not enough people to make high quality games that have to come out every year. Look at the call of duty series. A call of duty game comes out every year as well. Yet that series have more than one studio will more than 3,000 workers. They need to hire more developers to work at game freak.
The pokemon company must also creative more studios. At least two. Each of those studios can work on different pokemon games. For example two of them can work on open world games, while the third one can make a 2d HD game that can appear to older fans. The IP is worth about $92 billion dollars. They can afford to do this. Most importantly, gave the studios the time they need. This is my solution, will they do this, fix it their way, or do nothing at all?
