Before I start, I have to tell you that I am in the path of the hurricane. Highly likely I will lose power for a while. If you don’t get any new blogs from me for some time that is the reason why. I will try to do as many blogs as possible. With that sad news out of the way let’s get to today subject. I know that resident evil requiem came out this year. This game is years away but I am already thinking about the next mainline entry to the series, resident evil ten or if you might call it X. The question I am asking is who will be the star? I will try to answer that today. What I will do is to list all of the regulars of the series. Then I will give each one a percentage on the chance they will be the headliner of re10.
new character
Could ten have a new character to play as? Well 7 and 9 did. If this is the case, most likely it will be a one off character. I will give it a 65% chance.
Sherry Birkin
Sherry has grown up since her first appearance way back in re2. The only times she shown up was in 6, re2 remake, and of course 9. She never been the star. She only plays a supporting role. She doesn’t have the star power as the other but will Capcom give her the starting role in re10? Somehow, I doubt. I will give her a 20% shot.
Rebecca Chambers
Rebecca was the star of re0. Plus she did play a major role in the resident evil movies vendetta and death island. Will Capcom make her the star again? I give her a 30% chance.
Ada Wong
Ada did get her own DLC for re4 remake. It is hard to imagine her being in a re game without her so-so boyfriend Leon. Will Capcom let her fly solo without Leon in the next game. I give her a 45% chance.
Chris Redfield
Now we are at the core four of the series. Chris was one hot streak with the series. He was in 5, 6, 7, and 8. He wasn’t playable in the last two, but you get my point. Like with the others Chris is getting up there with age. Maybe 10 will be the last outing for Chris. He could retire or go out as a hero in order to save everyone. Chris will get a 70% shot in returning.
Clarie Redfield
This is the perfect segway to talk about Chris’ sister Clarie. She is no strange to be the star. Clarie been the star in re2/re2 remake, code Veronica/Veronica remake, and revelations 2. Revelations 2 was way back in 2015. Clarie have been in the CGI movies and infinite darkness tv show. Yet it been 11 years since she been in one of the games let alone be the star in in. Maybe she sat out of re9 because she is at home pregnant with Leon’s baby. Just saying! Will 10 be the game that Clarie will make her big comeback. Just like her brother, I give her a 70% chance as well.
Jill Valentine
You thought that Clarie have a long gap between games? Jill haven’t a one of the games since revelations one back in 2012. She made her return in the death island movie back in 2023. That is a movie not a game. Sometimes I do think that Capcom doesn’t care about her. Maybe she at home pregnant with Leon’s baby. Chris wouldn’t like that. Sorry I had to do that joke again. Seriously Jill needs to return to the games. Jill will get a 75% shot.
Leon Kennedy
We are at the golden boy now. Leon was of course in requiem this year. Leon has never been in back to back re games before. Will Capcom do it or will he sat the next game out and hang out with his wife. Leon will get a 50% shot.
