This game is coming out this week. Actually, it is coming out tomorrow, so I need to do my demo review now. Let’s start with the look. This is one of the two reasons I got into the game. I love the 2D HD look. It’s like Octopath traveler but the graphics got kick into the next level. The voice acting is also incredible as well, Before I move on, the demo itself is all of chapter one.
Now for the story. I will keep it spoiler free as possible. Years ago, the powerful archwitch arrive in a town that is be invading by a evil army. The army is headed by I will call them the six thieves. They stole a very powerful crystal. The archwitch tries to stop them but she failed. Years later the thieves return to steal the other crystals. Now the brave airship squadron commander Rain and his second in command Lasswell team up to stop them. Later in the demo, the two are join by the young girl named Fina which she seems to have amnesia and a mysterious past.
For the combat. If you have play at least one of the Octopath traveler games then you will be familiar with the combat. It is turn based. At the top you will see a bar. The bar shows who turn is coming up. With this to can plan in advance for what you what to do. You can use a regular attack special attack, magic, to defend yourself from the enemies’ attacks, and so on. The best part of the combat and the other reason I am getting the game is the visions. The visions are the heroes from the other games in the series. When you get enough power, you can summons one of them and they will use their special move from their game.
That is it! I know that this is short and I wanted to put in more details, but I am on a time church today. If you are still on the fence about buying the game, I highly recommend playing the demo. I think that you will enjoy it a lot.
