So this is the week are getting a new direct. I hope that Nate the hate and the other insiders are right. We need to know what Nintendo is have in store for the rest of the year and into 2026. Today I am giving my predictions for the direct if we do get one.
Mario kart world DLC
This is one of the most important things Nintendo needs to show. The game desperately needs to more racers, modes, features, and the most important one. More tracks to race on. Nintendo needs to justify that this game is $80.
Big Microsoft showing
The sea of thieves account having a man giving a monkey a banana. This could be a sign that the game is coming to the switch 2. Insider Nash Weedle listed that Psychonuts 2, Doom: the dark ages, Indiana Jones, Ninja gaiden 4, Senua’s saga hellblade 2, Call of duty 6, and Age of empires 2 will arrive on the switch 2 soon. I do think Microsoft will finally bring some games to the switch 2 and they will show a good number of games. If they only show Gears of war reloaded and Halo the master chief collection, I will be a happy camper.
No PlayStation games
Of course, we all know about the lob listing that is about bringing Sony games to other platforms including the Nintendo. It is way too soon for Sony to announce something in the direct. Yet if they do have something for Nintendo, then my guess will be Horizon zero dawn or an old PS1 classic like Jak and Dexter of Ape escape.
Resident evil 4 remake
I do believe that re4 remake will come to the show.
No FF7 remake release date
I think that the same will arrive next year so I shouldn’t get a release soon.
Elden ring release date
I think that the release date for Elden ring will be announced
Big 3rd party games
We should get the news that many ports will be shown. Red dead redemption, Assassin creed shadow, Metal gear solid delta, just dance, and so on.
Sega returning IP
The Sega classic Shinobi is coming out next month. I think that Sega might show another classic IP returning. My guesses are Crazy taxi, Alex Kidd, Streets of rage, or Eternal champions
Metroid prime 4 release date
Back to Nintendo. We will finally get the release date for prime 4 at long last. My guess it will be in November.
Other Nintendo release dates
We should get release dates for Age of imprisonment, Kirby air riders, and Splatoon raiders.
New animal crossing
I’ve been going back and forth with this one. At the end I think that Nintendo will show off the next animal crossing game.
Mario’s 40th anniversary
For the last prediction, Nintendo will finally do something for the series 40th year. It is a good chance we will see a preview of the super Mario movie. Luigi’s mansion 4 might be shown. My biggest guess is that we will see the next big 3D Mario game.
