We have been waiting eight long years for this game to arrive. Now we are exactly one week away from the release of the game. I decided to tell all of you some of my favorite boss fights throughout the series. I search all of YouTube for these battles. Let’s get our morph ball going.
Spore spawn
The first boss is Spore spawn from super Metroid. This plant base boss bobs its head around while releasing spore to damage Samus. The only way to kill it is by waiting for it to open itself up and Samus shoots at its core.
Crocomire
Next up is Crocomire from super Metroid. Battling this red lizard can be tough. The reason why i put this fight into the list is because how Crocomire dies. You force the lizard to a pool of lava. I love the way Crocomire’s skin melts away and screaming in pain as it is dying. Yet the surprise is that its skeleton returns to attack you.
Phantoon
This is the last boss fight from super Metroid. This ghost like alien attacks you with blue flames. It also disappears and reappears during the fight. The way to beat it is by shooting at its one eye when it opens it. Phantoon is also the final boss fight in other M. Love or hate that game, I taught it was an excellent fight.
Diggernaut
I do love a good robotic boss fight and this one from Samus returns is great. The mechanical terror will shoot you with lasers, tries to suck you up, grind you, and stomp you into paste. You have to disable it piece by piece. Be aware this is a long fight. Hopefully this boss will return in a future Metroid game.
B.O.X. Security robot
For another robotic boss, its B.O.X. from fusion. This crawling machine will try to burn you alive with its fire attacks. You have to hang on to a ceiling and shoots at its core. Guess what? This robot comes back later for a rematch later in the game. The robot now has upgrades. This time it shoots homing missiles at you.
Meta Ridley
The last boss fight today is the bane of Samus’ life, the space dragon Ridley. Ridley has been in plenty of fights in the series. My favorite battle against the dragon is Meta Ridley from the first prime game. I think that this is the best and toughest fight in the game.
I will list more Metroid boss fights in the future. Maybe one of the boss fights from prime 4 will make the list.
