Well ladies and gentlemen we have enter the final month of 2024. Thank God because this year has been hell on me. Anyway, let’s move on. Now it’s time for my annual tradition. I will list everything that I believe what will happen in the gaming world in the following year. Since next year is 2025, I will make 25 predictions. Today I will do the first ten. Then next time I will do the following 15. Before I begin I what to say that next month, I will review my 2024 predictions so stay tuned for that.
1 The steam deck 2 will arrive
I think that Value will release it next year. There is a good chance that they will announce it on the same day that Nintendo finally shows off the switch 2.
2 The big 3 will buy more studios
Microsoft didn’t buy anyone this year, Sony is trying to buy Kadokawa, and Nintendo bought Shiver entertainment this year, this trend will go on into 2025 and beyond.
3 More studios will be closed
Sadly, the way things are going this will continue on. Who will be the next fire walk studio? We will have to wait and see.
4 Hellblade 2 coming to the PS5
We all know that Microsoft will keep bringing Xbox games to the PS5. With Hell blade 2 being a massive flop, I think that the game will find its way to the PS5. I’m shocked that it hasn’t been done yet.
5 PS games coming to the switch 2
We already have MLB the show and there IP horizon come to the switch so there is a good chance that some of the Play Stations IPs will arrive to the switch 2. There have been a few rumors about it on YouTube. I’ve made a couple of blogs about which Sony games could be on the next switch. Please go and check them out.
6 Chrono trigger returns
This prediction is one of my biggest longshots. We all know that Square Enix is bringing their games to all platforms. We also know that they are hurting for money. What way they can make some fast money? Bring back the timeless classic chrono trigger. 2D HD or the original, I don’t care. Whatever the reason is that they can’t bring back this game, get it resolve now.
7 Metroid prime 2 and 3 will be on the switch.
With prime one already came and prime 4 coming out next time, it makes only sense to release 2 and 3. Of course this is Nintendo.
8 Star fox, Kid Icarus, or F Zero returns
Next year Nintendo must bring one of these IPs back. New, remastered, remake, or the original I don’t care. Nintendo enough of this. Its time.
9 Naughty dog will show off their new game
With the last of us fractions been cancelled a while back, we don’t know what they are working on. I think that next year Neil aka the king of soy will show the world their next endeavor.
10 Avowed will be Microsoft’s Concord.
Avowed doesn’t come out till February and the game looking a complete disaster. Obsidian is cramming everything woke into this monstrosity. Like pronouns and ugly ass women for example. Of course it doesn’t help matters their lead art director who looks like a downgraded Kratos keep running his mouth with a bunch of stupid s###. This might not be a $400 million dollar disaster like Concord was, but I bet that this upcoming pile of crap. Don’t be surprised if Microsoft shuts down obsidian studio.
