I’ve been on a journey to cast of a possible live action the legend of Zelda movie. Of course we all know that the movie will be real. For some time in the back of my mind I wanted to recast one of the characters. The character I wanted to recast is the main character himself Link. At the start I picked Tom Holland to play Link. The reasons were that first everyone was casting Tom as Link and second, I didn’t know any young male actors at the time. (That sounds so wrong and dirty to said that.) If Tom does get the role, I will be fine with. I’ve been thinking about it for some time and I feel that Tom is not the right fit.
So I have decided to recast Link. I have search for young male actors that is young enough to play Link for years, have the baby face, look like Link as much as possible, and is a good at acting. I will list these actors. Then after that I will narrow it down to my top three. Then Ultimately, I will choose the one that I think would be best to play Link.
Iain Armitage
Iain just finished up the show young Sheldon. Now Iain have some free time. Iain was great playing Sheldon. He is 16 so he is in the right age range. For an added bonus, my choice to play Zelda Mckenna Grace was in a few episodes of the show. The two have great chemistry t when they were in a scene together.
Mitchell Hope
He is best known for being in the Disney descendants movie. He has the look that I want. The downsize to him is that he is 30.
Mason Thames
Mason star in the black phone. He is in the age range I want but he doesn’t have the look. No, I am not calling him ugly.
Walker Scobell
A lot of people saying that Walker should play Link. I looked him up. He is an okay actor. Just like Mason, he doesn’t have the look I am looking for.
Reed Horstmann
I had Reed as one of the finalists of Link when I started this series. He is in the show the villains of valley view. He is good looking, and he is only 21 years old. He can play Link for years.
Timothee Chalamet
Timothee is an amazing actor. He will bring star power to the role. He is good looking but it’s not the look I want.
Asher Angel
The last one on the list is Asher Angel. He is from the show Andi Mack. He is 21 and have the baby face that I want.
For all of the gentleman I have listed, I am going to pick my top three. The three are Iain Armitage, Reed Horstmann, and Asher Angel. Now for the winner. For these three I have decided to pick Reed Horstmann to play Link.
