About two to three blogs ago i wrote about how much the Xbox brand is in problem and I might sell my series x next year if things don’t turn around. If one day one of the heads of Microsoft or Bill Gates himself comes knocking on my door, get on their knees, and beg me to the save or at least salvage the Xbox brand this is how I would do it.
Fired Phil, Sarah, and Matt
The very first thing I would do is canned Phil, Sarah, and Matt. I do understand that Phil came in a rough spot after Don f up the launch of the Xbox one. Yet Phil really hadn’t done nothing to close the gap between them and Sony. It looks like Phil had already waved the white flag. Him and Sarah are more focus on what could happen to the Xbox in 10 to 15 years in future but they are not worrying what is happening in the here and now. As for Matt? I don’t know what he is doing but he needs to go as well.
Fire sells on studios
Microsoft has wasted money buying these studios. Most of them are producing nothing. If these studios are not making hit games, then I am selling them. I don’t care who buys them.
Exclusives staying on Xbox
Earlier Phil announced four games coming to other platforms. Of course this is nothing new for them. This will come to an end. Our exclusives will stay our exclusives. No more sharing. The only exception is call of duty.
3 t0 5 years development time.
No longer our games are going to take over 5 years to make. We will have a very strict development time on our games.
No more massive budgets
We are going to have these huge $250 to $350 million dollars budgets. I would keep a very tight leash on the budgets of our games. The developers will just have to work with it.
Support physical media
This all-digital future talk is dead. We will keep supporting physical games. In fact all of the first- and third-party titles will come to CDs first.
No more game pass and PC day and date.
For years, Microsoft have been brain washing their fans buy game pass instead of CDs. This will end. Day and date are finished. All of the games will come to CD first. Then all three to six months later, the games will come to game pass and PC.
Beautiful women
The last point. We will have beautiful and sexy women in our games. No longer our females will look like men or whatever. If the developers don’t like it, they better get ready to file for unemployment.
