On my last blog, I selected 20 characters that could be guest fighters in the next super smash bros game. It was hard to select them and of course I had to some off the list. Today I will tell you all about some of other characters that didn’t make the cut and why. Also in my last blog I stated that I am working on my dream smash bros roster. Maybe these characters will be on my dream roster.
Let’s start with the sexy brit from street fighter, Cammy. Cammy can use both her speed and agility in battle. Why didn’t I choose her? The reason is that the game already has Ryu and Ken so another fighter from the series wasn’t needed. Now we are going towards another sexy blonde. She is Aya Brea from the parasite eve series made by square Enix. Back when parasite eve was popular, Aya was a sex symbol. Hey square if you want to make money, bring this series back. The reason that she didn’t make the cut because it was between her and Joanna Dark. I went with Joanna because she is more of an icon. Also, another reason is that I didn’t want another female gun shooter in the game. That is the same reason I left out Claire Redfield from the resident evil series. Going with one more hot sexy blonde, it is Jetta Maxx from eternal champions. Eternal champions is not popular enough for Jetta to be part of the roster. The same goes for Jetta fellow champion shadow.
The next two are Sam and Max. The two started off as comic book characters. The duo also had a couple of games about them. The two are pretty much forgotten by pop culture now. Next is Bubsy. Bubsy was a popular character back in the 90’s. He started in a few platformers back in the day. Bubsy 3d was one of the worst games in history. That game killed the series for good. I’ve almost picked Aerith from final Fantasy 7. She can use her magical powers. Yet between her and Tifa I am staying with Tifa.
Sega have a couple of characters that almost made it. They are Vector man and Ristar. Vector man can use his lasers and Ristar can stretch his arms. They are not popular enough to make it. The big one from Sege is Sonic’s archrival knuckles. It was between him and Dr. Robotnik. I when with the good I mean bad doctor.
For the Nintendo side of things, I didn’t go with both cranky Kong and Viola from Bayonetta 3. Three characters from the Donkey Kong series is already in. Viola is Bayonetta’s replacement. Maybe she will be in the next smash. Finally the big one that did not got an invite is Dante from Devil May cry. I didn’t pick him is because his moves are too similar to the sexy witch. In fact the both of them were created by the same person. Of everyone I listed, Dante has the best chance to made it to my roster.
