This blog is the star of a new series that I cast actors and actresses as Nintendo characters in both TV shows and movies.
As we already know, the new super Mario movie has been delayed from this holiday season to sometime in the spring next year. Sadly that sucks big time. A couple of days ago I was thinking that it the new Mario movie is a bit hit, then that can bring more of Nintendo’s IPs to the big or small screen. One of the IPs could a Metroid movie. Years ago there was going to be a Metroid movie but it fell thought.
If the Mario movie is a hit then maybe the Metroid movie could this time become reality. Now it’s time to ask the big question, who will play Samus? I am looking for an actress that looks like her for the most part while she playing the role well. This could be challenging because as us fans know that our girl is alone on the dangerous planet most of the time and she rarely speaks.
I pick seven actresses that I think that can play our favorite bounty hunter. I am not an expert in casting, but I did my best. Let’s begin.
Mckenna Grace
She is a very talented actress and singer. Right now, is only 15 years old. If a Metroid movie becomes real, it won’t be for some time. This will gave Mckenna time to grow up and her body to be more mature. She could play a younger Samus that is just starting her career.
Sydney Sweeney
Sydney is a star in HBO’s euphoria, Everything sucks, and Netflix’s night teeth. I think her acting is pretty good but if she is cast it will be most likely base on her looks. Sydney is very sexy eye candy. I think she’s the sexiest woman on the planet right now. Seriously look her up. She will definitely bring in the male audience. The only downsize is that she is a little short to play Samus. But with a sexy body like hers, her height might not be an issue after all.
Florence Pugh
Florence is an up-and-coming actress. She already has experience in action packed project like black widow and Hawkeye. Just like Sydney, she is sexy and she is short witch could be a down size for her getting this role.
Charlize Theron
Charlize definitely looks close to Samus in most ways. She is an award winning actress. She started in action movies like atomic kitten and mad Max beyond Thunderdome. So she can handle herself in fight scenes. Charlize’s down size would be her age.
Hailee Steinfeld
Hailee is a young, talented, and very beautiful actress and singer. She would be in the right age range to play Samus. She will bring in the male fans to the movie. Her downsize is that she is not a blonde. She might look weird with blonde hair.
Elizabeth Olsen
Of all the actresses I listed so far, Elizabeth is definitely the biggest box office draw. She plays Wanda/scarlet witch in the MCU. She might be getting sick of playing the same role over and over again. So, she might want a change of pace.
Anya Taylor-Joy
All the ladies I think can play Samus, Anya Taylor-Joy is my main choice. She is a very skill and talented. She won a golden globe and a screen actor guild award. She stars in hit movies like Last night in Soho, Emma, and the Northman. She in the right age range. Also she is very sexy. She got legs that goes for miles. Anya is the voice for princess peach in the new Mario movie, so she already knows how to work with Nintendo IPs. The last important thing, she looks closes to Samus then the other actresses I listed.
