Hello everyone, today I am doing my second version of what I think that the launch year line up for the switch 2 could look like. The last time i did this, I was going with all of the rumors that the switch 2 might come in the spring. I had started with March 2024 and ended with February 2025. It still could come in the spring but it’s looking like it might come in the fall. That is where go to. Starting in September 2024 and ending in August 2025.
For the games I will use both logic guesses and a little wishful thinking. These games will be both 1st and 3rd party ports, Also they will new games that Nintendo will bring. Like last time I will have at least 2 games per month. I will also spread out the games that are made by the same company out as much as possible.
September 2024
3D Mario or Mario Kart 9
One of these will be the showcase on how powerful the switch will be. A lot of people saying a 3D Mario will be the launch title. It can happen but too me it makes way more sense for Mario Kart 9 to be the launch title. You need a game to be a major system seller. A game that will sell switch 2s at off the bat. Mario kart 9 is clearly that game.
Fantasy Life I
Until a couple for weeks ago I never heard about this game. Fantasy Life I is made by level 5. Level 5 has delayed the game to summer 2024 for “strategic reasons.” They might decide to delay the game till the switch 2 release day is reveal.
HiFi Rush
On his latest podcast, Nintendo insider Nate the hate said that a popular Xbox game might come to other systems. Everyone is guessing it could be HiFi Rush. If Nate is right, I think that the game will come early in the year. Then an upgraded version will come to the switch 2 in the first month.
Final Fantasy VII Remake
For the last big game that could come in the first month is a major one. It is Final Fantasy 7 Remake. The timed exclusive deal with Sony is over and Square Enix having money issues I think will be a major launch title for the switch 2/
October 2024
Call of Duty
Thanks to Microsoft buying Activision blizzard, Call of Duty will make its return to Nintendo.
Resident evil 4 or another RE game
I do believe that Capcom will be a big supporter of the switch 2. The first game that will come from them will be a RE game. It could be a rumor remake of code Veronica or RE5. Yet I think it will be RE4 remake. The game will not be on the cloud but it will be on a cartridge.
Just dance
Ubisoft will bring this popular series to the switch 2
Bayonetta trilogy collection
Lately they have been rumors that a Bayonetta trilogy will come. Take this one with a huge grain of salt. If true, this should arrive in October.
Nov 2024
Metroid Prime 4
At long last we will have this game in are hands. It might be a crossover game with the switch. If this game doesn’t come out in 2024 then I am doubting that this game will never come out.
A Sega game
Just like Capcom, Sega once Nintendo greatest rival will support the switch 2. Last month Sega has announced that they are bringing back many of their IPs. Do I think one of them is coming in November? Sadly no. I think another Sonic game will arrive in this month.
Just like with Capcom and Sega, Bandai Namco will be a big supporter of the switch 2. What game will they bring? I believe it will be the 2022 game of the year Elden ring will come in Nov 2024.
Dec 2024
Dragon Quest
I think Dec will be a quiet month for the switch 2. Square Enix will be another game to the system before 2024 comes to an end. It will be the latest entry into the popular series Dragon Quest.
Koei Temco warriors
Koei Temco will end the year with a warrior game that is based on a Nintendo IP. Will it be based on Mario, Xenoblade, Star Fox, Donkey Kong, or something else. we have to wait and see.
January 2025
Nintendo might start 2025 on the right foot with a new Pokemon game. It could be a new Pokken tournament? Maybe but I believe that it will be a new legends game.
Street Fighter 6
Capcom will return to the switch 2 with a port of Street Fighter 6.
Feb 2025
Baldur’s gate 3
I think that Feb will be a strong month for 3rd party titles. The best with to start with love of love is with a game that to can have sex with a bear. That game is Baldur’s gate 3.
Suicide squad kill the justice league
This one is a longshot. With all the leaks and this being a live service game, suicide squad looks like it’ might be a massive flop. So after a year that the game arrived, suicide squad might come to the switch 2.
Final Fantasy VII Rebirth
After six months when remake came out, rebirth with be on the switch 2. The timed exclusive deal with Sony ends in May. So highly likely rebirth will be on the switch 2 in February 2025.
March 2025
Persona 3
Back when this game was announced, Sega said it wasn’t coming to the switch. Me and many others do believe that they are saving it for the switch 2. If this is the case, then March 2025 would be the perfect spot for this game.
Alan Wake 2
I think that the award-winning game will have a port coming in March.
Tekken 8
I had originally had this game in September but I decided to move it to March 2025. The reason is that I wanted the other Bandai Namco game Elden ring time to breath and sell.
April 2025
Donkey Kong
April will be a busy month for Nintendo. We will finally get the new Donkey Kong game that have be rumored forever.
Mario Kart 9 or 3D Mario
For the one that doesn’t come in September, it will be release in April.
Diablo IV
This could be a longshot but with Microsoft now owning blizzard Diablo IV might invade its way to the switch 2.
May 2025
Ninja Gaiden
I must admit. I had a hard figuring out what games could out in May. This one is more wishful thinking than logic, but I am thinking Bandai Namco will come out with a new Ninja Gaiden. It is time for Ryu to return to action. Hopefully he will bring the very sexy Rachel along.
Vision of Mana
This game was revealed back in the game awards. There was no mention of a switch version. That is telling me that vision of mana will be on the switch 2. May will be a good time to bring the game out.
June 2025
Astral chain 2
There is no word about a second Astral chain game. Yet I do believe it is in development now. This will be a showcase on how powerful is the switch 2 is.
A Zelda game
Come on I can’t leave Zelda out of this. It will be a long time before we will play the new mainline title. Nintendo will most likely bring a remake to the switch 2. I guess it will be a remake of the timeless classic Ocarina of time. It could be something else but it has been rumors about Ocarina of time being remake. I do think it will be Ocarina of time.
July 2025
Another Sega game
In July, Sega will bring one of their classic titles to the switch 2. I am hopefully it will be Enteral champions or Crazy Taxi
Monster hunter wilds
Capcom will make a huge splash in 2025 for the switch 2. Monster hunter wilds will come for the system. This will be a of the biggest titles of 2025.
August 2025
Armored core 6 Fires of Rubicon
This is the last month of of the first year of the switch 2 if I am right. Bandi Namco will bring the hard as hell game Armored core 6 to the system.
A Monolith soft game
At long last Monolith will bring their offering to the switch 2. I am 99% positive it will not be Xenoblade X chronicles. It could be a new Xenblade game. Maybe they will bring back Xenosaga. It might be a all new IP.
Splatoon 4
They will be DLC for Splatoon 3 later this year yet I do still believe that the latest entry to the series Splatoon 4 will arrive in Aug 2025.
There are my guesses. I will make another one of these when we finally get some confirmation from 3rd parties and Nintendo themselves.
